Refund and Cancellation Policy
What comes back, what does not, and how long it takes
Last updated: 26 August 2026
1. The principle
INDclipping is a performance marketplace. A brand pays for views that were actually delivered, and a creator is paid for delivering them.
So the rule is short: unspent budget is refundable, delivered views are not. Once a clip has earned verified views and those views have been approved and paid to the creator who earned them, that money has left the platform and cannot be recalled. Everything below is the detail of when "unspent" is measured and how the balance gets back to you.
2. Cancelling a campaign (brands)
Before it goes live. A campaign in draft has taken no money and can be deleted at any time. Nothing to refund.
Before any clip is submitted. If you funded a campaign and no clip has been submitted to it, write to support@indclipping.com and we will cancel it and refund the full amount you paid, less any payment-gateway charge that the gateway does not return to us.
After clips have been submitted. A live campaign is a commitment to the creators who are already editing for it, so it cannot be cancelled at will. You can:
- let it run to its end date, or until the budget is spent — whichever comes first;
- ask us to stop it early for a genuine reason (a legal problem with an asset, a brand-safety issue, a campaign published in error). We will stop it, settle the views already approved, and treat the rest as unspent budget under clause 3.
Stopping a campaign early does not cancel views already approved, and does not let a brand avoid paying for work it has accepted.
3. Getting unspent budget back
When a campaign has finished — its end date has passed, or it is marked completed — you can request the unspent balance from the campaign page in your dashboard.
- What is refundable is the money we are actually holding for that campaign, less everything already paid out from it. It is not the headline budget figure: if a campaign was launched against a budget larger than the amount received, only the amount received can come back.
- When you can ask is once the run is over on its own terms. A campaign we have paused by hand, or one that has hit a spend ceiling we set, is held for a reason — ask us about it at support@indclipping.com and we will explain or release it.
- The campaign stops accepting clips while a refund request is open, so creators are not editing for budget that is on its way out.
- We review every request before money moves, to confirm no approved submission is still waiting to be settled against that budget. Requests are reviewed within 3 working days.
- Payment is made to the UPI ID or bank account you nominate, and is sent within 7 working days of approval. You get a reference number for it. If it was collected by card or net banking we may return it to the original instrument instead, in which case your bank may take a further 5–7 working days to show it.
- The platform commission of 18% is charged on campaign spend. Commission on budget that was never spent is refunded with it; commission on views already delivered is not.
Instead of a refund you may extend the same campaign with the remaining balance — add budget, raise the CPM, or push the end date. Nothing is forfeited by choosing that instead.
4. What is not refundable
- Views that were verified, approved and paid to a creator — including views on a clip you later decide you dislike, if it met the guidelines you published.
- Budget spent on submissions you approved, or that were auto-approved under the rules published in our Terms of Service.
- Payment-gateway fees, where the gateway does not return them to us.
- Campaign spend where the campaign under-performed. A CPM campaign guarantees a rate, not an audience; we do not refund a campaign for being less popular than hoped.
- Anything at all on an account closed for fraud, artificial views or a serious breach of the Terms.
5. Creator withdrawals and reversals
Creators do not pay us anything, so there is nothing for a creator to be refunded. The equivalent questions are about withdrawals:
- Earnings on a campaign are released to your wallet once your approved views on that campaign reach 5,000. Before that they are tracked and shown, but not withdrawable.
- The minimum withdrawal is ₹500, paid by UPI or bank transfer (NEFT/IMPS) within 24–48 hours of approval.
- A failed payout is credited straight back to your wallet with the reason recorded, so you can correct the details and request it again. Money is never left in limbo between the two.
- We may reverse earnings where views turn out to be artificial, a clip was deleted before its views could be verified, or a submission was approved on information that proves false. We tell you which submission and why.
- We are not able to recover a payout sent to a UPI ID or bank account you entered incorrectly. Check them before you request.
6. If you disagree with an outcome
Write to support@indclipping.com with your account email, the campaign or submission concerned and what you think went wrong. We answer refund and payout disputes within 15 days, and usually much sooner.
Please raise it with us before asking your bank for a chargeback. A chargeback on a campaign whose views were delivered and paid to creators takes money from those creators, and we will contest it with the delivery record.
